Real Estate News?
the real estate related "news" that you read about today is based on sales/closings of the past couple of months--which went under contract a couple of months prior (Oct or Nov). so it's not really news in the sense that its not a reflection of what's going on *today*.
the number of sales may have gone up, but prices are still on the downward trend because there's still a lot of inventory.
spring activity will be a better indicator of whether the market is improving or not.
